KEN GOLDBERG MD 

I am a Preventive Medicine specialist with a private practice in Portland. The main modalities in my practice of somatic psychotherapy are Core Energetics and the Pathwork, although i include other modalities to best fit the needs of my patients. I enjoy working with the full spectrum of development and traversing from personal and psychosomatic issues to transpersonal, archetypal, and spiritual growth issues. I also lead groups with my partner Kathleen that focus on developing relationhsip skills and support personal and spiritual growth in community.

My other professional role is as an educator. I have been on the International Teaching Faculty for Core Energetics since 1999 and started the energy and consciousness training in portland in 2010 to teach somatic psychotherapy. I have also taught medical students at Oregon Health Sciences University, Western States Chiropractic College, and at National College of Naturopathic Medicine. i believe that personal growth and development and education go hand in hand as different aspects of our process of unification as spiritual beings living a human existence.

Kathleen Goldberg, LCSW 

I am a Pathwork helper, core Energetic Practitioner/Senior Faculty of IACE and Licensed Clinical Social Worker in privae practice in portland Oregon. I found my way to therapy in 1974 to address trauma and was guided to the Pathwork lectures and the body/Spiritual centered work of core energetics in 1978 and have been focused on these blended approaches since. I attended the summer helpership progams at Clf in phoenicia new York and claimed helpership in 1984 in my home group tHe Great Lakes Pathwork. I completed my graduate degree in social work at university of Michigan in 1983. I have worked as a hospital social worker, psychiatric/addictions' specialist in intensive outpatient treatment and mental health clinics and focused primarily on private practice with individuals, couples/families and groups.

For 40 years I have studied and taught the Pathwork and have been committed to integrating the spiritual and psychological in embodied ways while having fun and laughter in the mix. For 35 years I have collaborated with my husband Ken Goldberg, MD integrating Core Energetics and the Pathwork with clinical understanding in somatic psychotherapy by facilitating process groups, workshops and professional trainings. I offer sessions in person and online, provide consultation and supervision support and training in spiritual/personal growth incorporating the principles of The Pathwork and Core Energetics.

Kathleen is a Core Energetics Practitioner trained by John Pierrakos in the West Coast USA program directed by Siegmar and Cornelia Gerken. Kathleen continues to be inspired by many teachers and the deep meditation practice of life, the natural world, writing, marriage and family. The process of aging, loss and gratitude for all the challenges and beauty of life continues to be a daily blessing surrendering to what is and could be.
